Lub question on throwout bearing slider

| I am a new model A owner and I am trying to do a complete lub before I do any more trips. I am using Les Andrews's book, on page 3-3 its states item 21 throwout bearing slider should be greased every 2000 miles.Page 3-5 detail R shows location.My problem is finding the part to grease. From the picture it appears I will have to remove floorboard and remove the top of the transmision. I hope this is not true, did model A owners really do this every 2000 miles?My A is a 1930 town sedan if that matters. thanks, James Shotwell |
