Around here we get our 6v batteries at FARM & FLEET which is a chain of farm supply stores.6V batteries are common items used on Ford Model N tractors and there still is high demand for them.Check your phone book for FARM type supply store.I paid less than $30 for my Model T 6v battery over six years ago (yes 6 years old and I don't use a battery tender either).Current price at local F&F is now around $27.00 for a group 1 that fits my car to a T (pun intended).Think that makes the battery last is proper maintaining of charge both during touring and after.Cutout system is tough on batteries.

Good luck.

John

: Dennis,
: Pep Boys (if you have one in your area) sells a Group 1 6voltBattery for 39.95.if they don't have it in stock they can order one for you and have it within the week. Check with them to find out when there weekly store order comes in. Interstate also sells a 6 volt battery. Check the date code on the side of the battery for freachness. The first letter is the month and the number is the year. exampleC8 would be March 1998. Good luck.......Mike
