Hi Gordon, There never seems to be a finale with a Model 'A'. Two things come to mind from what you did or didn't do during rebuild. Is there a good ground between your starter and the bell housing? Sometimes paint will act as an insulator and the bolts and/or lock washers will not cut into the paint to form a good ground. Continuity test from a head bolt to a clean spot on the starter casing should tell. When the armature was turned, were the spaces between the copper undercut? Let us know what you find. Dave. |
