Kevin,

I don't have one apart but my original drawing shows a 3/8" hole upward at 30 degrees. It is located below the bearing at the vertical centerline.Looking at my car it appears that your gear lube was added with the rear end raised as described (and over filled). With the car level the filler plug is even or below the inner seams of the axel housings. It sounds like you had enough lube in there reach the outer axel shaft seals (and beyond). It sounds like you'll have to get it on the ground, raise the torque tube into position, and remove the filler plug to allow any remaining excess to drain out.You will definitely need to check and clean the rear brakes.

I know this is not what you wanted to hear but hope it helps!

Marco
