Michael,

I want to second Dave's advice.Get the car running first, using the guidelines Dave has mentioned.Drive it a little to see how the steering and brakes work, being careful not to get into any heavy traffic situations, around the block and neighborood type stuff. Then you will know where you stand with the main areas. You can then perform some major overhaul if needed on the mechanical areas and probably still enjoy the A.A major frame off restoration will take some time and the car will be down for a while.Enjoy the car. If the car has been stored for almost 40 years, it may only need some good elbow grease polishing to bring out a shine.
I have had my '29 Town Sedan for about 30 years and have worked the brakes, electrical areas, steering and engine. The body still looks like it did when we pulled it out of the shed. The fenders and brightwork have been redone. We won't win any first (or even third place) trophies, but we sure have fun driving the car to tours, parades etc.
I also second Dave's comment to join a local Model A club and both National clubs, the dues are well worth the bi-monthly magazines each has.
Have fun with it! and let us know how you're doing.
John
