: Recently, I purchased a new type neoprene seal for the rear main on the Model A engines.It is marketed by a couple from California and was purchased thru Bratton's.This seal involves machining the slinger ring off the crankshaft.Since I have a few engines under construction, I thought I would give it a try.Has anyone out there tried one of these seals? Ifso, what were the results?Plese let me know and let's post it on the board.

Like Lew, I also installed a one piece seal in my '30 coupe after having the slinger machine off and polished. That was 5 years ago and it's never leaked a drop.
