: Recently, I purchased a new type neoprene seal for the rear main on the Model A engines. It is marketed by a couple from California and was purchased thru Bratton's.This seal involves machining the slinger ring off the crankshaft.Since I have a few engines under construction, I thought I would give it a try.Has anyone out there tried one of these seals? Ifso, what were the results?Plese let me know and let's post it on the board.

John, I installed a one piece seal quite a few years ago in my Roadster, had the crank slinger machined off, just like the directions said, it really works! Have had no problems with it. Just be sure to follow the directions to the letter.
