Radiator water level

I know a model A will tend to seek it's own water level, but is a full quart low normal after just a few miles?I have not had it on the road enough yet to know if it will go lower, still trouble shooting a few running problems.Any new advice on dieing when stopping, have checke all the obvious for carb & gasket leaks along with float level.Maybe I'm missing something on the carb. adjustments. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jim Miller San Jose ca.
