My suggestion: find a local Model A club (the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA) site has a list of 300 chapters around the US and world) - visit a meeting; tell the folks about your car. You'll get a LOT of helpful suggestions (and probably more than 1 offer of help!)

Most all Model A's can be brought back to life.If you are handy, you can do most of the work. It's fun and rewarding. And there's a LOT of help out here.

Check out the books that are available (the MAFCA site also has a list of those.) One of the best new works for the home mechanic/restorer is the "Model A Ford Mechanics Book." by Les Andrews.Your local Model A shop may have this, or you can order it directly for $34.45, which includes handling and postage.
