5.9-to-1 heads
I've spoken with owners and engine builders, All love the Brumfield head, but I've heard a mixed bag about other makers.

I've heard stories about valves coming in contact with them, and that they're hard on the bearings.

Thats a mixed bag. Many will say that5.9 on a standard bore is about the limit before serious bearing wear is encountered.

What about the transistor ignitions?

Love it! Love It! Love it! I see no real need to go back to the way Henry did it 70 years ago, its just plain better by leaps and bounds. There are many things that will shake rattle and fall off on an 70 year old automoblie, this is just one less thing to worry about.

All the above is my opinon when it come to drivers, However I
feel differently about Parade and other very low mileage cars.
