This is not a recommendation for any additives. Instead, develop this habit before running a Model A that has been idle for a few days. Before starting the engine, shift it into neutral, keep your foot off of the clutch and crank it over for a few seconds with the ignition off. This will replenish the oil supply in the valve chamber that gravity feeds the main bearings before imposing operating loads. It also lets the connecting rods scoop up a fresh supply of oil before high reciprocating loads are applied. Then start the engine.
Operating the clutch puts a load on the rear main bearing & crankshaft thrust surfaces.
