When my friend Stan bought his '29 woody, it was equipped with beach tires, and had been used successfully out on Gurnet point and Sandy Neck up around Plymouth Mass. for years. we sold the beach tires for about what he had paid for the car so we got the woody for about nothing in the final analysis - but that was 1959.With the proper tires, the power curve, clearance, and gearing of a "A" is ideal for beaching it. LOTS of folks did back when up around the Mass. Coast.

Corrosion, though, is the main problem - two of the brake drums on Stan's wagon were actually rusted through, and the sheet metal portions were pretty bad.Make sure you seal all exposed metal, or it'll go away fast.
