leaking carb

Looking for any solutions to a leaking carb on a '30 "A" coupe. Any suggestions? Leakage seems to be coming from the joint between the upper and lower carb body halves. Also the engine is loading up in 3rd gear and making no horsepower. Stuck float perhaps. Is disassembly a major headache...I have worked on countless modern motorcycle carbs, is this difficult?
