RUMBLE SEAT ALIGNMENT WEDGES

I am fitting a new rumble lid onto my '30 roadster. As part of this effort, I have rumble alignment/aluminum wedges to install and need some info on where they go.Some info I have indicate that they go approx. 4" down from the topgutter. However, at the very top of the rain gutter there are pre-existing holes which line up with the wedges real good.Can someone help?
