Engine Installation Advice Needed?

At Last engine is completely rebuilt and ready to install on restored chassis.The trans,bellhousing,and flywheel housing are attached to the frame. Would it be correct to support the tranny,and connect the flywheel housing,flywheel,clutch,and bellhousing to the engine first. I have heard that using the engine lift that fits into the third spark plug hole will balance the engine as it is lifted. No mention as to if this applies to the block only with or without flywheel,etc. Would this be too much of a strain on the head at the third plug hole? Would someone please shed some experienced knowledge on what the best sequence would be and what parts should or shouldn't be attached directly to the block as installed? Any and all comments are really appreciated,thanks in advance.
