Glen,
I aquired a starter that was from an old-time hot rodded A. It had a push button starter/solenoid mounted where the starter rod is mounted is to the top of the starter. So you had to open the hood and push this button to make the starter spin. I had never seen one of these before, so I don't know much about it.
