Thanks for your quick responses and advice. I thought of wood but figured it would break as the piece does get thin and you confirmed this. Although for 11 dollars it doesn't hurt to try, cheaper than what I could come up with vs time. I thought I had Bratton's cat. memorized but didn't think it could be made of wood and didn't even look in that section.
