G'Day Joe,
You've got some good advice & helpful tips from Bob which detail the process nicely, but, as with any task the quality & durability of the repair is normally directly proportional to the total amount of effort expended in carrying it out, so out with the soap-box.
By "cold welding" I assume you're talking about some type of adhesive, epoxy or otherwise?. This would definately be a short term "patch job" to get one home & not the answer to your prayers of a quick fix. The old adage "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing properly" had to literally be drummed into me (a couple of good clouts around the ear normally got my attention)in my apprenticeship days, but has, through experience, proved itself to be true time & time again when shortcuts have been tried & failed, so my advice, for what you may consider it to be worth, & to minimise any damage to surrounding parts, would be to spend a little extra time & effort & remove the radiator from the car to repair it.

: The bracket to which the bracing rods are connected has become detached from the top of the radiator. While the bracket has three holes in it, it appears to have been welded to the top of the radiator. Is welding the proper attachment method or does it bolt on.If it is welded, has anyone used one of the industrial "cold welds" to reattach a bracket.I would like to reattach it without removing the radiator or shell.Any suggestions for reattachment would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
