The bearing will press off.If you support the bearing onlarge vise jaws, or a set of parallels, you can drive the hub out with a large socket or piece of pipe, it's only about a 3/8" press.

If it's an original bearing, it greases through a groove in the inner diameter between the thrust surface, and the back of the bearing.I soaked mine with gasolene for a week, then rinsed it several times, and pushed grease into it with a hypodermic adapter (available at auto parts stores).If after cleaning it's it's not dead smooth without grease - DON'T USE IT It's probably got internal rust.If it's a later unit, it's sealed, and can't be cleaned effectively.

Don't even fool with the pilot bearing, they're cheap, and the double sealed units are far superior to the old open bearings.

MAKE SURE that the end of the shaft that fits into the bearing is a snug fit.If it's worn and fits loosely, then the shaft must be repaired, or there'll be chatter in the clutch during engagement.
