Just got an A block that has 2 serial numbers listed on it.First on has the star and thenA9865308and the star, and this number has been "crossed out" (looks about the same as if you were to write a number on a piece of paper and cross out each number several times). The second number is 699370 with no A or stars. Can anyone tell my why this engine may have 2 numbers, and why what should be the correct one is way about the number of A's produced? The engine is supposedly from a '28 Tudor. Thanks for any info. Gary |
