You can use the clutch from a flathead V8 - generally the late '40s variety. You need, however to machine off the rear of the flywheel until it's flush with the pressure surface, and re-drill the flywheel for the six bolts that hold the V8 pressure plate. There are a lot of them in the Dallas club - it's generally done because the pedal effort is much lower than it is for the Stocker, and the engagement tends to be smoother. |
