I'm a little skeptical of your reasoning, and confused by your explanation.Please clarify.The float kit is of course a 3 point rear mount that does utilize a solid crossmember for support.The rubber biscuits are hard, not gelatinous and are compressed until deformed when installed properly.Have not seen too many frames fall apart or engines leaving the chassis from using these.They are in a lot of cars.I'm all for original mounts which can be easily found (from people changin to floats).The real question is did Henry use fixed mounts for economic or structural reasons.Somebody ask George DeAngelis.
