Where Goeth The Welt?

Being in the middle of my first Model A resto and having checked with several folks, I'm getting conflicting directions as to the placement of welt.Since my car "wasn't all there" when I got it (and my wife says, neither was I!) and I haven't any photos which make it entirely clear, can anyone tell me for certain:
(a) does fuel tank welt go all the way down to the splash aprons, or just around the tank stopping at the top of the cowl, and
(b) does front fender welt stop when it reaches the running board joint, and
(c) does rear fender welt continue from the fender to go between the spalsh apron/running board and the fender?
