: Marco,You mention "semi-molded type brake shoes",I've seen the modern replacement HARD linings which don't work well.I've always used the soft Scandinavia Type linings when they've been available.

: I'm not familiar with the semi molded linings..... What are they? Can you tell me a little more about this, or tell me where I can find out? Thanks

I believe the semi-moulded linings are what people refer to as "hard linings". They are gray in color and are pre-arched. I'm not sure why others seem to have trouble with them. Anyone who has driven one of my cars over the years has been inquisitive as to what I used and why they stop so well. All the ones I have used were made in the '70s before the use of aspestos was prohibited. I've been afraid to experiment with the modern stuff because I know how well the original type works. Also as I mentioned before, Ford also promoted this type of lining.

I'm not sure what is available today, so there may not be many options. Maybe someone can add some input on that.
