Michael,

The cost for replacing the top can vary from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand depending on the quality of the materials and if you do the work yourself.

I see if I can put a picture up for you.

The biggest difference in a 1928AR is the AR part which does not have much to do with it being a sports coupe. The AR refers to the fact that it is one of the early Model As. As such it will have certain parts that are unique to the earlier cars.Such as a different clutch, generator, main bearings in the engine, possible the brakes ... etc.

Yes the Canadian cars are different. Is it right hand drive ? Many of the smaller parts on the Canadian cars were obtained from local sources and were different then the U.S. parts. Many of the screws were Roberson (sp) type.

The sport coupe was just that a coupe that looked sporty.It gave the appearence of a convertible with the top up.

There were alot more regular coupes made than sports coupes.
