The nature of a Model A suggests that no matter the type of paint system used, there will be chips, scratches and chafed throughs where the doors overlap the body. So if you intend to drive and enjoy your Model A, I recommend you consider a paint that lends itself to spot repairs & touchup. Availability of the paint material several years from now should also be taken into account.
Moreover, Model A colors cannot be had in some paint systems. Clear coat paints are difficult to repair and from my experience, you need to find a very talented artisan to achieve good paint match and blending. These artisans are expensive and so to are the clear coat paint materials!
From a practical standpoint, it is hard to beat the acrylic lacquer and enamel paint systems for ease of application, good appearance and ease of repair. I suggest you avoid the exotic paint systems.
Perhaps the best advice I can give you is, don't believe the color chips in the two acclaimed Model A paint books are even close to the original colors - they are not!
Good luck.
