: Yesterday my '29 Coupe wouldn't start. Checked the spark. OK.
: Checked the gas line.Fuel bowl filled with water and frozen solid. Dumped out the ice, cleaned it up. Away we went!

: Contrast this with my 1987 Isuzu Trooper. Wouldn't start. Not even a click.Battery ok.Gas ok.Had trouble even identifying parts to the engine in amongst all the wires and tubing and mysterious black boxes.Had to hire a guy to come fix it.Loose wire on the starter.(I still don't even know WHERE the starter IS!!!)He didn't charge me for the call.
: That in itself was a miracle.

: But, aren't you glad for the simplicity of your Model A??I sure am!

Bill -

During the winter in Michigan there are fewer opportunities to drive my "A", but when I can, I do.When I can't, I take it apart and put it together in increments. (Doing the headlights this week).During the warmer months when I get home from work, the "A" comes out of the garage for all of my errands and local trips.Drives to the golf course are enhanced with the pleasure of driving the "A".Begining this spring, I will drive it to work too. A guy in a one or two year old Buick parked next to me at a store and says: "I'll trade you even up right now".No way - in five years, my "A" will probably be worth five times what the Buick will, and that doesn't count inflation. What could be simpler?

Tom
