G'Day Joe,
Marco's hit on a common carburettor problem associated with the needle valve contacting the brass tang on the float, however I wouldn't recommend filling with solder as you'll end up with the same problem within in a very short time as the solder is soft & would soon have its very own dimple. Rather follow his advice & polish the dimple out.
