Craig,
I don't believe either the engine of frame number will tell you the body style. All engines for U.S. produced cars were manufactured in Dearborn and numbered after they were given a few tests. These numbers are one up and can be used to tell the month and year that the engine was assembled. The engine number was stamped into the frame at the assembly plant. The engine number can preceed final assembly by up to three months.
The two tooth steering sectors were introduced in Feb 1929 with open quadrants and then with closed quadrants for 1930/31.
The front and rear springs might give you a clue as to the body style if they have not been changed. There is a chart on page 4-2 of the Judging Standards and Restoration Guidelines that outlines the number of leaves for the body styles. Also, the shock absorbers, if original might help date your chassis.
Sorry I can't help with the Brookville roadster body fitting your frame.
Good luck with your project,
Dave.
