Step on the gas... And it goes!

Ok, for those who are aware of the problem I was having (any time I pressed on the gas more than 1/4", the engine would sputter and stall). The solution has been found!

At least one of the jets in the carburator was clogged (haven't taken it all apart yet).I placed a loaner carb on the engine, then started her up.Now, she'll rev 'till the engine sounds like it's going to fly out of the garage.I'm getting something that sounds like sporatic light backfiring (very faint) at high rev's... possibly an exhaust leak at the manifold/muffler?

Special thanks to Tom McMenamin and Kevin Daly for their help (the fuel line is now far cleaner, and it rev's up much smoother) (still haven't found any pickles!)

Now, off to do a better job of cleaning out that old carb...
