The spindle arms and pitman arm I bought from Walt Bratton a few years ago were "thru the arm" studs.They were welded at the bottom as well as the top.Just out of curiosity I had them radiographed at work.Of the four balls, all but one looked good.I returned the one and Walt replaced it.So far so good.I would inspect any I get from outside to be sure the weld is complete.It scares the fire out of me to think of one of these things coming off going down the highway, even at "God speed under 50!"
