Hi David,
And thanks for writing back. I already have the body floor frames bolted somewhat to the frame.I do not have the space to remove the body from the frame. But my frame all appears straight. Also when I purchased the car, most of it was already dis-assembled, by the previous owner. So from the jist of your message, can I use jack stands to level the car??
can I use a level under the frame to check for level?? Should the metal front door hinge posts be made to square with the floor wood?? I do not have any measurements for what the car actually should be, again it was already apart. Do you know if I can measure my doors and add say 1/2" to that measurement to place the lock pillar?? Also I have already cut a notch for the lock pillar, and screwed them to the floor wood, following directions. I think tat was a mistake. But I should be able to fill the three screw holes with epoxy and start again.I purchased the wood kit some years ago from Chuck and Judy Cubel, both the instructions and talking with Chuck on the phone proved useless.I am actually thinking of purchasing a different kit altogether and starting again, or finding someone who is familliar with Model A's and paying them to re-build the body for me.P.S. where are you from, are you interested???I am in N.Y., N.Y. Sorry for the long message, and all the questions, but I really need help, and this is getting more and more frustrating, than an enjoyable hobby. Thanks Again Richard
