The 34 units are similar in concept, but the pinion uses a pilot bearing, and the tooth form is different.The 3.54 if you can find one for less than a king's ransom is a good idea if you want extended speed capability - not much but a little and every little bit helps.If you are planning on a overdrive, probably better to stick with the 3.78 for better take-off.
