Wow, I guess I better be careful if i go on a long trip.I have heard that a rich mixture can make the exhaust manifold red hot.Do you suppose this was the case, or just a long hard ride causing lots of heat?
We just got back from the New England Meet, and drove for about 2 1/2 hours at 50 mph, and just felt the usual heat from the muffler.Maybe one of those heat sheilds on the muffler is a good idea for summer.My only problems were water pump leaks and my powerhouse generator finally quit.
