My 14 year old son bought a 29 AA stakebody with 19,000 miles. It had set in a barn since 1954.The engine has very little wear, but in cranking the engine we apparently broke loose the rear main from the saddle. The bearings look like they were originaly inserts-thick thrust surfaces and uniform thickness with no surface irregularities. My questions are:is there a way to pein this bearing back in place? Are replacements available or does the block need to be cleaned, heated and rebabbited? If the earing can be repaired we are maybe a day from having a running truck. Thanks for your help.
