I couldn't agree more with Marco's statements.Under normal circumstances the outer flange on stud (A-2051) presents no interference with the lower brake shoe rollers.As Marco points out, what is important is the condition of both sides of the roller track.Both should be straight and built up with weld or replaced if not so.
In addition you should have the inside diameter of both drums checked.Far too many A's havedrums that have been cut more than .125".The best bet, for good brakes is to install new cast iron drums with a soft lining.To obtain good fade resistant brakes requiresa lot of work and patience, but in the long run worth it.
