Funny you should mention brakes.That's just where I'm looking now.
The car came with the 3.54 when I bought it, but performed so miserably on the Sierra foothills I decided to upgrade the engine internals.I now realize a lot of the lousy performance was due to bad rings, a worn cam, and babbit that was shot.
I'm glad to hear 50 to 55 should be OK.My hope is to not to have too much of a difference in speed between us and the modern cars on the back roads.
