Lots of good advice has been offered.By increasing your performance you have increased the strain on your lower end. These engines were not designed to achieve or perform at high RPMs. Babbit is the weak point.

I've seen guys push these cars until the rods were hanging out of the side of the block and then not understand why...Some people just don't have a "feel" for the mechanical stress the car is undergoing. You can drive them 65, but you got to know when to "back-off".

If your concerned about keeping up safely with traffic I would suggest you install an overdrive unit.Still with 3:54 gears you should be able to safely maintain 50 to 55'ish mph.Sedans are a little heavier cars, I hope that gear ratio works for you.

Brakes are something to be considered....Mechanicals are excellent, but they do require maintenance and adjustment. IMHO; They've gotten a bad rap because people were to lazy or busy to keep them repaired and adjusted properly. Enjoy!
