I have torn up my fair share of '29 "hidden" cowls and have found that most my "victims" have had the braces necessary to mount the lights even tho they did not have the hole for the arms.Evidently, the cowls were made so that they could "go either way" when they hit the trim line - town sedan or plain. This is not so on any other models - only the Briggs and Murray bodies are so equipped.I've never seen a Ford body that had the braces and not the holes drilled for the lights.
