Hi Duane

I used 2 coats of shellac on mine, per several restoration books.But per David Dewey's earlier message on this board, now I'm worried about it

"...Tillitsons vs Zenith is a matter of choice. I've had both, I prefer a well restored Zenith. I don't like Gros-jets, but do like viton tipped needles. The gas here in California is murder on most things, we even have to seal our cork gauge floats with tank sealer, as the stuff eats right through shellac."
