Thank You to each and every one of you!The ruthless rude rapping has been eraticated!Here's what happened. The nut was removed with a standard 1-3/8" socket.(Who said it won't fit? Use socket extenders through the crank hole.) then I removed the two piece pully and slowly peened material from where it was to where it wasn't thus removing the backlash potential.Then I put both pieces back on and checked the distance the pully entended beyond the crankshaft end.It was more than enough.I didn't need the washers at all just some minor tolerance re-engineering.It now sounds beautiful.No rapping, only a gentle symphony of valve tappets!Thanks again for the help and I'll see you down the road!Ahoogah to Y'all!
