Has anyone tried the old method of a long screwdriver?
Point of the screwdriver goes to the casting and the
handle goes to your ear. Works as a poor man's
Stethescope. Just be very careful of any moving parts EK the FAN or fan belt. I have found locations of many noises
by this method. Loudest noise is usually the spot.
Great for finding bad generator bearings.
