I'm not sure just how much that would restrict the pressure.If it did increase the pressure in the crankcase you would see an increase of oil leakage from the front seal, rear main, or both.I really don't believe it would have any effect on the lubrication of the rear main.The most important thing is to be certain that NO fragments of the filter could fall into the crankcase.I would also expect it to require regular cleaning to keep the pressure restriction to a minimum
