G'Day Gary, I had a similar problem when I joined the club a while back, & after many unanswered E.Mails, I imposed on Rick Black the MAFCA web-master who had to rattle some cages there before getting any action. The problem was then solved to my advantage, but I've since sent several other mail messages which have also never been acknowledged, or have had to be re-sent a few times before being answered, consequently I've now given up. I'm led to believe some of the staff are volunteers, so I'm not sure if it's due to an overload of mail messages, shortage of staff, or just plain old bad service. It would be interesting to hear from other members whether or not they have experienced similar problems, & if so whether there's a valid explanation for it, as this is the quickest & cheapest line of communication available nowadays, especially for us in other countries. It's a shame this happens as in this technologically advanced age it tends to detract a little from the quality of The Restorer magazine & the MAFCA website (from whence the E.Mail addresses come) which in all other aspects is otherwise par-excellence. Hopefully this will perhaps elicit a reply & explanation from the responsible person/s. As for your question on the Judging Standards, I've included the link to the MAFCA page that contains the info on the m"A"ny different publications available, but if you have no joy, you could try one of the parts houses like Bratton's, Snyder's or Mac's. Sorry, I can't help with your query on the pliers. Regardz DJ. OutOfAfrica A's
: Second, have 2 Ford pliers in my hand with the screw driver tip on the handles. One has a smaller Ford script with notches running the same way as the pliers in the pincher end.Other has a larger Ford script with no notch. Can anyone tell me if these are both A pliers, if the notch is supposed to be there, and any other info on these? : Thanks. : Gary |
