Tom,
First check the wiring body for oil leaking from steering sector housing. If you have oil inside the wiring harness it may or may not work.If your Model A uses a Two Tooth Steering Box replace the end plate with modern tube style. Bratton's sells the part #A-3568-A on page 23 for $6.95.

Next release the bail wire and separate the upper and lower light switch bodies.Using long nose pliers rotate the internal switch to change headlights high/low and parking lights. Make certain all the lights work with the switch.Next return the switch to the OFF position.Go inside car and set the light switch to 6 O'clock position. This is the OFF position on steering colum. Re-install lower switch body over light switch spider. The SPIDER SWITCH PRONGS should be at 6 & 12 O'clock. This may some patients !!

If wiring harness is showing signs of dry rotting or heavy oil build up, this should be replaced first.

Good Luck,

: My horn switch does not work, so a previous owner put horn button on the dash. I would like to fix it back to original. Also my lights sometimes will not turn off, as switch seems to come disengaged. After playing with it for awhile, I have been able to get it to re-engage, and switch off, but I'm afraid my luck may run out. How do you get into this assembly to correct these problems. I assume it may just pop right off, but don't want to try it, until I am sure.

: Thanks,
: Tom
