I checked my Champion Spark Plug Reference for 1920-1940 cars and trucks.There isn't any #44 spark plug referenced for any of the cars of that period.
Champion Spark Plug numbers almost always started with a letter, like C-16 or W-14.A #44 spark plug sounds like an AC brand.
In any case, I don't think that what you have fits a Model A Ford.
