We were talking about this the other day. We concluded that we
would use the type three pins and install type one ends on them
by brazing the threaded stems on to the ends of the type 3
locks. The type three locks don't need those stems at all -
this was strictly to fool the judges - it'll work. I know
someone who got a set all the way to best of show in the blue
ribbon class and the car is unscathed. Should he ever find a
NOS set of locks, he can take the fakes out.
