: Purchased a Ford Pick-up originally thought to be a 1932. : Now seems to be a 34 or 35. Serial numbers on the engine : (flathead V8) are 27721 or 43959 (not sure which is correct : number). The frame has BB18T on it and 1194805*. Any ideas : what we have here? Jeff, Your best bet is to contact the Early Ford V-8 Club to decipher this numbering. They have a couple of e-mail addresses and either will probably get you to their Technical Director. They are "fordv8club@aol.com" and "v8times@aol.com". "B" is the designation for the four cylinder '32 Ford and "BB was used as the heavy truck designation. But the '32 V-8's were designated as Model 18. This seems to be used in your numbers also. Anyway, I bet they can tell you what they should be. John |
