I have rebuilt a few old Carburators and I did find that some of the floats (brass) have pin leaks in them. After a few minutes of running they sink and then the carb leaks when the engine is shut down. Fix can be new float or if you have no replacement use the gas tank sealer Alcohol proof and is works fine just be sure float level is correct as the weight of the float changes the level. |
