Carburator leak

It's that pesky leak thru the air intake of the carb. after engine shut off.Other than shutting off the gas line I still can' get thegas to stop leaking. Not much just enough to make a mess on someones driveway, especially blacktop! I've tried the normal cures but to no avail, float adj., different inlet seats. Does any one have any ideas what will work? I'ts a pain having to shut off the gas line every time, and don't you hate it when forgetting to turn it back on and stopping a few feet after leaving, I do. Help!
